Cindy Sheehan Calls it Quits

And I say it's about time. But not for the reasons you would think... Cindy is my friend, and I think it's time she took time out to gather herself, to rest, to get well, to rethink her strategy. I think it's time Cindy took time out to privately mourn her son, be a mom to Carly, Janie and Andy and to put her life back together. In fact, in my own personal opinion, it's long past time. So I'm glad to see her take a step back.

I don't know of anyone who could stand up under the pressure that Cindy has been in, who could stand up to the nastiness, the lies, the ignorance, the threats, the mind and body numbing travel schedule.

All I do know is that I'm glad to see my friend take a break for a while. And I do agree with her when she says that if the American people don't step up to end this war, we deserve what we get.

How very, very sad that we in America have become the mind numbed robots that Rush Limbaugh speaks so often of (Or used to -- I haven't listened to his show in years!).

Peace,
Amy

my dearest wishes to Cindy and to you, Amy. The burdens are too much to be on the shoulders of one or two--everyone needs to share. I am grateful for those like the two of you who have done so much.
